A Brook

We have had a lot of rainy days the last few weeks so all the gardens are green and the little brook that is hiding between the rocks and plants in this pic is running nicely. It runs down and feeds into the duck pond at James Gardens.

What a lovely spot.

Oh, I wish I could say we have had frequent rains. We're in a drought. I haven't had to cut my lawn since early June, and our crops look terrible. What should be green this time of year is turning yellow and brown.

That is so beautiful! It actually rained here last night and they are predicting more tonight. We are getting some summer monsoon storms after two years of none.

The norm in past years has been brown lawns this time of year. It sure is nice to see the green for a change.

Good for you. Very dry in my area.

Yep, I've got some pics of a waterfall coming up soon that had been fed by recent rains.

"Brook" is a very English word, and mostly used in this part of the country. That looks a wonderful place to linger.
