The squirrels are trying to fatten up for the lean times to come this winter when food is in short supply. Maple seeds help.

Wonderful. While we have our possums, they are nocturnal, so you have to find them in the dark, which you can at times.
They are so ready to take on anything aren't they!

Ohhhh, how cute, never saw a black squirrel. Ours are red. And hiding the walnuts I give them in other places... and likely forget where... Trees´ll pop up!
