This is the entrance to the city of Toronto archives building on Spadina Rd. It opened in 1992 as a purpose-built building to house the records created by the city as well as scores of old maps and over a million photos. I haven't been in for a long time and must have another visit. Taking part in Signs2. Click HERE to see more signs from around the world.

Perhaps for Doors Open, if the building participates.
When I saw the title of your post I assumed you were using your own personal archives of photos, but no. Great to see a purpose built archive to save the photos and information of the past.
I bet things are well organized inside that building.
...it's important to save important documents.
Nice architecture. Is it open to public?
Thank you for the piece of history :) I've always dreamed of visiting Toronto. Maybe one day I'll get the chance :)
I just followed your blog - if you’d like, feel free to check out mine too :)
It must be interesting working in this building and to be able to see the old photos.
Pretty building! Take care, have a wonderful day!
A nice facade. Snow is adding chill to it
It's a nicely understated building.
Very useful for historians.
That entrance and the rest of the building are in my eyes not in balance.
