A Car In The Doorway

I never did figure out the story behind this Fiat parked in what looks to be the entrance to a cafe or gallery. I only saw the doorway opened once so never got the story. It makes for a great shot though.

Great that the door was open so you could get this photo. It is obviously an art space of some kind. The Fiat 500 parked there does make entrance difficult. At this point the Fiat is more art piece than functional automobile.

Fiat produced 3.8 million 500s between 1956-1975, but few were legally imported into the U.S. as it was not competitive. The car only had 13-17 hp and a top speed of 65 mph with 0-60 mph at just under one minute. But it was a popular gray market car because it was cute.

Ah but they did a 500 Abarth which produced 135 to 140 bhp with around 152 lb-ft (206 Nm) of torque, I doubt there are many of those there
