Tough Marigolds

Marigolds seem to be among the last flowers to die off because of the frost and colder nights. I always let them go to seed and the next year will be rewarded with lots of new plants. These ones are the progeny of plants I bought 3 years ago.

Pat, you have a green thumb. The flowers are beautiful, and I'm glad to see they have survived. The plants look healthy also. We have not had a frost yet which is very late or us.

Same in my garden, marigolds and zinnias keep on blooming and I save seeds to plant next year. It works for zinnias too, my favorite is Purple Prince or any of the purple zinnias.
