No One Out To Play

I managed to beat the kids to the park after one of our snow storms so this playground equipment still has its cushion of snow. It was a totally different scene a couple of hours later!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Through The Trees

I just liked the look of the Victorian houses in the background as seen through the trees after the snow had stopped. Taken on a stroll through a park.

Fresh Snow

We finally have snow and I always like to get out for a walk when it is fresh and before everyone has walked through it, but this time the cat who lives in this house has beaten me to it. You can see his trail going along the base of the fence and disappearing under the gate. Makes you wonder where he would have to go in that much snow! In summer he is often perched on top of this fence watching the world pass by.

Celebration

I had shown you another of the signs placed along Bay St after the trees and plants had been given a wonderful new environment to attempt to survive the urban setting. Click HERE to see that one. I like this one for its wonderful Chinese proverb about planting a tree now!

Tower In The Dark

When I was looking through my archives for a skyline pic for the February theme day I found this pic showing the CN Tower and its neighbour, the Rogers Centre (previously known as the Skydome) where our Blue Jays baseball team plays. I think I took this shot from the ferry heading home from the Toronto Islands. There is something magical about a skyline at night.

Big Cats

I came upon this mural while wandering along a laneway just off Bloor St. It turns out to be an ad of sorts for a tattoo parlor that is actually several blocks away and these cats are samples of the style of a couple of the artists there. The artists for the mural are Moxy and Rewsr and it was done last summer.

Small And Pretty

This pretty little church is Our Lady Of Victory Roman Catholic Church which is located in the Mount Dennis neighbourhood. The parish celebrated its 75th anniversary last year but I think this building didn't appear until the 50s. Once again, the doors were locked so I couldn't get in although I could see that there are some lovely stained glass windows along the side of the church.
