Christmas Catalogue!

This float from the Santa Claus Parade really brought back memories of the arrival of the Christmas catalogues and the happy times spent studying them to decide what to ask Santa to bring. We used to get one from Eatons and one from Simpsons - both companies no longer exist but Simpson's was absorbed by Sears and so it was great to see them present this blast from the past!

OH, we couldn't wait for the Christmas catalog to arrive in the mail!

Ah, yes. I used to love to dream over the catalogues as a kid!

Looks like a fun thing for kids (and adults!) to do in the run up to Christmas.

Oh I do remember the Christmas catalogs very well. What a treat to sit and study them and we did study them thoroughly. Another great float.

The only time I ever look at catalogues is at Christmas, seems like its a universal occurrence Pat. Nostalgic float for Americans I think.

We really do show our age if we remember looking forward to the Christmas catalogue. Love that bear!
