Churchill

This bronze sculpture of Winston Churchill by sculptor Oscar Neman has been installed along Queen St in front of City Hall since 1977 but it always seemed lost in the activity of the street. It has recently been moved to a location along the side of City Hall and has had benches installed and trees planted around it. Now it feels like a place to stop and think about one of history's greats.

A very nice statue. It reminds me of a visit to the War Rooms in London. A very interesting museum that I would recommend to anyone.

A nice place to sit and maybe read one of his own works or else a history of his era.

I recall that they were going to be moving him from his original spot when I was last in town. I've always liked that statue.

The Allies were very fortunate to have strong leaders at that critical time in history.
