Back In Weston

This is another of the big old houses in the Weston neighbourhood of Toronto. Many of them have these wonderful large porches that look perfect for sitting out watching the world go by. And they all seem to be in good condition despite their age.

This is a grand old house and looks to have been kept up nicely. If that's true of the rest of the homes in the neighborhood, it would be a wonderful place to call home. I'm curious about that bug by window in the dormer, also. Maybe they created a special room up there.

This reminds me so much of my home town. The porch is a perfect place to watch the fireflies come out at sunset.

Nice house. This type of architecture is totally unknown here in the Netherlands. Thanks for showing.

This house would fit nicely into the West End of Hartford.

Front porches are perfect places to sit and chat with passing neighbors. I see this one has a third floor room that likely has a great view.

That says Toronto to me!

Remember when people actually talked to each other in the evening on these porches? Now I suppose they use them to check their email messages and to text. :-)
