On The Alert

I have seen few creatures lately at my favourite viewing spot and I think it is because of the presence of a couple of Peregrine Falcons. This brave little chipmunk stayed stationary on this stick for several minutes as he looked around to check for enemies before heading off into the underbrush. The pic was taken through a window so isn't super sharp.

She's a cutie! And brave! We don't have chipmunks down here, unfortunately. I did see an Ontario car in a Lowe's parking lot yesterday and wondered if you have come this way on vacation....

What a cutie. I haven't seen one in a few days... they might be finished stocking their winter quarters and are thus less and less out and about.

When one is this small and defenseless it is good to keep on the alert for predators. That is a cute chipmunk.
