Skating in the City

This is another view of the skating rink at our city hall. I couldn't decide between this one and the one from yesterday for the theme Play. I liked the background of our Old City Hall in this one and that sweet girl up front moving along like a snail on her skates.

Very nice to see. Hope to see it here also on the canals but the ice is still not strong enough.

A fun winter sport and activity for all members of the family. Love the architecture in the background: old and new.

I like this shot too! The view is amazing. With the old city hall in the background it reminds me of the skating rink at the Natural History Museum during the holidays in London.

Yes that's a fab backdrop to the skating scene Pat. I nearly used a beach scene as it's so relative to Perth.. got distracted ☺

Ye olde City Hall is mighty impressive. Love that clock tower. And the skating rink. And those whatchamacallits (circular beams) that go over the rink. I don't think you could have those in the US because we have so many stupids that would try to walk across them carrying a machine gun. For protection, dontcha know?

ice rinks are very common too

They're both great shots, yesterday and today. Old City Hall is so much more pleasing to the eye than its current counterpart.

What a backdrop this rink has, it's so attractive. I love the Old City Hall building, it's absolutely beautiful.

Since I'm a skater, I would like to skate on this ice.

I like the idea of urban skating parks. Hartford has one for a month or two, but Naples does not . . . of course!
