A Closer Pic Of An Oldie

I showed you a pic of this building a couple of years ago (HERE) and finally remembered to get a closer shot when I was wandering around the U of Toronto campus downtown. This building was built in 1878 and has heritage protection partly because of the wonderful brickwork that you can see. When the university was building the large complex surrounding it they made the decision to include it as part of the structure. So it is now part of the Bahen Centre For Information Technology.

Hello, what a lovely building. I wish the newer buildings were not so close.
Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!

What a beautiful old building! So great they not only saved it but incorporated it in the new one!

I remember this one Pat, the brickwork is unusual and definitely worth looking after ✨

This is such a gorgeous building. It's a good thing it was saved. That brick work alone is a work of art.

Funny, how close the new and old house was built!

I'm glad they decided to incorporate the old building instead of the normal process of to just tear everything down first.

Beautiful old house surrounded by modern looking buildings. Good thing it is protected.

The detail of that brickwork is amazing and unique. It's interesting that a heritage building would house a forward thinking discipline like IT.
