Banded

This little Chipping Sparrow was poking around on the ground below a bird feeder so there is a lot of spilled food around. I noticed that he was banded which really made me wonder where he had been traveling and where he had been caught and released. Cute isn't he?

Nice find Pat. It is rare to see one with a band.

That is interesting. I too wonder what the story is behind this little guy. He is a cute one.

Hello,

They are sweet birds. I was watching a couple of Chipping Sparrows just this morning on my deck. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day, have a happy weekend.

Great shot of this little sparrow. Always happy to see any sparrow that is not an English sparrow.

They are long-distance migrants, though some stay in the southern USA all year - Great photo!
