Searching For Treats

The Cardinals seem to be the only birds that are still poking around near the bird feeders at this time of year. They seem to be very quiet right now so I think they must have babies in the nest.

Fine photo of one of my favorite birds. Did you know that the Cardinal is the state bird of Illinois?

They are here too, but who I haven't seen lately are any blue jays and I usually see them all the time. Lots of Robins too. They built a nest off my deck this year and had two families!

I don't think we get cardinals out here...I have never seen one. Once in awhile I will see a blue jay. Lots of magpies though. Doh!
