I don't think that I have ever seen as many Monarch Butterflies flitting around the city as I have this year. There has been a big push to plant milkweed for their caterpillars to feed on and I think it must be having a positive effect on the population.
Taking part in Saturday's Critters. Click HERE to see more creatures from around the world.
I see only a few Monarchs a year here - glad the population is increasing!
Pretty capture of the Monarch. So far, I can count on one hand my Monarch sightings. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend.
I have seen a few this year here, which is great.
Lovely snap and share, Pat.
Happy WE to you!!
What a gorgeous photo. It's such good news that you are seeing so many of them.
A gorgeous photo. We have a lot of butterflies that are attracted to our Lantana plants.
A beautiful photo of a beautiful butterfly. You take great butterfly photos, Pat and they are a pleasure to see.
So beautiful butterfly!
How gorgeous! I would love to see one here!
So good to hear!
This is great news. I have seen several Monarch butterflies today. Hope to see more heading south in a month or so.
Glad to hear that! Same here.
If you feed them they will come...?
What a beautiful shot! Really wonderful photo; I love it.
They are so pretty Pat, love the symmetry of pattern on their wings. Lovely to see them doing so well ✨
Outstanding Depth Here
Yes, and they are wonderful to see!
I am seeing a lot of butterflies, some monarchs and many others. I do think the publicity about planting of milkweed is helping, but they still have a tough future.
This is such good nes ...and such a good picture!
