More People

I also considered this shot for my theme pic of City People showing the crowds crossing University Ave at Queen St W. I had shown you a pic of this building back in June with a view more from the back (HERE). As you can see this is normally a very busy part of town but not so much now with the virus afoot in the world.

Crossing from east to west is a long walk. I have never made on one green light yet. Just saying.

...and cities stack people up and up.

I remember this one Pat, the ledge jutting out at the top of the building made me think of a diving board 😁 Hopefully people will be out and about again before too long.

I remember this building. It's very striking. I can't wait to see people out and about again.

Really tall building.

Impressive building. I assume this photo was taken pre-pandemic days. Canada is doing so much better than the U.S. with this virus. I know you will use common sense and stay safe.

I can't help but wonder what that big slab on top of the building is for. I'm not usually a city person but I find myself missing walking through the streets these days.

Even with those people which isn't many, the street looks crowded. I wonder what the slab is on top of the building too.

Sunday Stop: I took the photo in 2013. You are right about College Street as the location. I can't pinpoint the exact location but I think it was College St. and Elizabeth St. There used to be a church on the south east corner. I don't know if it is still there.

Hello,

I am not a city person, it looks crowded. Love the cool looking building. I am avoiding crowds of people now. Take care and stay safe! Enjoy your day, have a happy new week!

Reminds me of the picture in this morning's Boston Globe of downtown Boston's empty streets.

The "before" days that became "before" almost overnight. I don't care for crowds but I do miss being around people.

Yes, every time I've been at that intersection I've found it's a long way to cross, and can be a difficult one to make in one green light.

A blast from our past! Those were the days, right.
