Remembering

This mural is found along College St in an area of the city with a large population of Portuguese immigrants and the mural commemorates their departure from home and arrival in their new home. I wasn't able to find an artist's name on this one.

Thanks Pat it's good to be back. Love murals with significance like this, so well executed. What a fab selfie yesterday, you and my daughter Aimee have a lot in common hair colour wise 😊 As for your fabulous crop of tomatoes, I'm even more determined than ever to start growing them in spring/summer, let's see how that works 🍅

How fine to have a theme of departure and arrival. The community must be delighted.

This reminds me of the posters I've seen from the 1920s with the people waving to the ship. This is most impressive and an absolutely gorgeous mural. Whoever painted this did a fabulous job.
