Lunchtime

There are many people who travel about the neighbourhood scattering seeds for the pigeons despite all of the signs asking them not to.  This location near Bloor St is a popular place and the pigeons were joined by a squirrel who was managing to get a few kernels even though the pigeons refused to move out of his way.

This was such a lovely fall scene that I missed the birds at first.

I feed birds here at my house, but that is all. Pigeons can be pesky!

It's a shame. I remember being on a pier, at an outdoor restaurant. Maybe Kingston? They were feeding gulls fries. I was so mad.

Pigeons and Squirrels are the only wildlife some people get to see, though both can make a nuisance of themselves occasionally - as indeed can human beings!

Beautiful autumn moment again, but funny thing about feeding pigeons. I recall staying in a hotel in Florida and looking out our window where a family got out of their van to observe the ocean and as they began to feed the pigeons flying over suddenly they were nearly attacked by an amazing amount trying to grab bites of food! They can be so mean! Scary moment for that family.

That's a common sight here too.
