Giving a Little Help To Our Friends

I was walking along through the snow in the Humber River valley and happened upon this old tree stump which someone had cleared of snow and had sprinkled some seeds about for the birds. At first I saw a little Junco and then this Song Sparrow settled down for a fast meal.

Hello,

The Song Sparrow is sweet, I wish they would around me more often. I rarely see them in neighborhood. Great capture! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a happy weekend!

How sweet! We've taken bird seed on a few of our hikes. Happy weekend!

I’m sure the seed was very much appreciated, kindness is never a bad thing,

That was a very thoughtful thing to do. The little birds must have a hard time finding things to eat in the winter months.

Bird feeding certainly can help them survive the winter.

Lots of Sparrows feeding here at my house, but I have trouble telling one kind from another.
Have a great weekend!

That's nice that people leave seeds for the wee birds.

Awww, cute fellow. Maybe less "strong" as my Peanuts (Squirrels) who destroy stuff if there´s no food from my side...

The Juncos and Sparrows are both tough little birds the spend the whole winter in cold weather.
