A Beauty


There is a creek that runs through the park that I showed you yesterday and there were bunches of these Damselflies flying along the creek. It is an Ebony Jewelwing Damselfly.  Beautiful isn't it?

Super photo of a delicately pretty insect. It's very like the Beautiful Demoiselle which frequents similar territory on this side of the ocean.

That is indeed a terrific photo of this difficult to photograph Damselfly. They seldom sit still for their portraits.

Lovely. I see damselflies often here in SW Connecticut but not as many dragonflies.
