A Spot of Colour

I was out looking for daffodils when I spotted several of these bright blooms in someone's front garden. I think they are Ranunculus which I have bought in bouquets but have never seen them growing. This garden had had a few little protective tents scattered about their garden through the winter and I think they were there to protect these plants. I love the colour!

Cool. I see that our tulips are now in bud.

...I have only seen Ranunculus as a pot plant. Neat find.

That is a beautiful red flower, but I am not familiar with a Ranunculus. I'll have to look it up.

I have neighbors who are always cultivating something new and different. Always fun to see what grows. :-)
