From The Archives

This wonderful Green Frog is probably safely buried in the mud at the bottom of its pond while we all wait for spring to arrive. It has been a cold winter here this year. Soon this frog can be sitting out in the sun again.

Some animals adapt by evading the cold while others’ bodies have adapted. For example: ducks who paddle about happily in brisk winds and deep cold.

Hi! A beautifully colored frog. There aren't any of that color here. I hope you're not cold.

And if you kiss him, maybe you get a prince! (OK, fairy-tale, never touch a frog, it can get sick, I know).

Love these guys, we have them here but they are native to NZ, they come out when it rains.
