Close To Home

There were actually 3 squirrels in that tree snacking on Maple keys but the 3rd one never got into a close enough to catch them all at once. This is the view from our roof deck and I wanted to show you where the squirrels live. Most of the ones who visit this tree live in the eaves of that large house behind us where you can see the windows. The owners seal up the entrance ways but then the little guys find another way in.

Taking part in Saturday's Critters. Click HERE to see more creatures from around the world.

Ugh! Squirrels and homes do not mix.

We have (grey) squirrels in our big trees. I enjoy watching them prancing around; they hold onto the slimmest branches. You'd think they'd fall but they don't.

It's bad news when squirrels get into eaves and attics.

They are very resourceful.

They are very smart creatures. If there is a way in, they'll find it.

Smart squirrels. They certainly find some snacks too. We once had a family of squirrels living in the attic.

Oh my, I would not want the squirrels getting inside my house.
They look cute and are fine hanging out in the nearby trees.
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

I saw the two squirrels immediately. Too bad the third one was camera shy. Squirrels can do damage to buildings, so I am sorry to know you neighbor is fighting a losing battle with these.

Like our possums I guess, a real problem when they get inside house rooves.
