A Winter Laneway

Before spring gets here I wanted to show you what our laneways looked like during winter. The city does no snow clearing in the lanes so it is up to each homeowner to clear in front of any garage being used. This winter the resulting piles almost covered any murals on the doors. These 2 abstract ones still stood out.

Taking part in Monday Murals. Click HERE to see more murals from around the world.

...I hope that you are thawing out.

You have more snow on the ground than we have had all winter. Interesting murals in the graffiti tradition. We have snow predicted for tomorrow night and Wednesday, but it won't be much, and it won't last.

Nice mural but wow, that's a lot of snow. I had dinner with my friends who live in Chicago (and work in Toronto) last night and they talked about how this has been an especially cold and snowy winter up that way.

So much show! We've had more or less none this winter here.

That's a lot of piled up snow, obviously not everyone uses their car :) Nice colourful murals Pat. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.

Such welcome spots of colour in an otherwise white landscape.

It's quite a job to clear the snow!

They do stand out!

It's hard to imagine that much snow piling up against buildings.

They are bright, although not what I would use for my garage door. Since it’s an alleyway, I guess people can express themselves without much concern for the opinions of others.
