Wall Art

There are areas in Toronto that are quite hilly and require retaining walls to hold back the earth from the sidewalks and roads. Usually they are quite boring concrete structures as was this one until a couple of years ago when this wall was beautifully painted. I haven't been able to find the artist's name unfortunately!

It's a great idea, the painted walls make the city more beautiful, and it's also fun to discover images on the murals. ;-)

What great artwork. I wonder if they had permission or did they just do it? Too much wall was covered for it to be an ambush, I guess.

That's pretty cool. Very colorful and much better than looking at a plain gray wall!

More fun than plain concrete - it must have taken ages to paint.

Pretty remarkable. Maybe if the artists get there first, the graffiti scofflaws will go somewhere else.

That is a brilliant use of 'street art' Red. So much more uplifting than cement!!
