"He Can't Think Without His Hat"

I don't think this quote from Beckett applies to Che but Che never seemed to be without a hat although not a fedora like this one. I found this sign in the window of Lilliput Hats which is the studio/shop of craftperson Karen Gingras, a traditional milliner who makes all her hats on site. Hopefully not a dying art!

I love it! I don't often expect a Beckett quote in a store-front window.

Cool -- a real life still existing milliners.

I think we don't have a milliner in our city any more. I remember one across from our local high school when I attended it.

Looks like something Kathryn Humphreys would wear when she does the sport news on City TV.

We have a custom hat shop here in KC. I have always meant to stop in but have yet to do it.

This looks like it would be an interesting shop. I always loved going to the millinery shop with my mother when I was a young girl.

I wonder if the quote will change over time? Maybe next time you pass it will say "If you want to get ahead get a hat!"

What a great shop! I can't remember when I last saw a millinery shop. And I like hats. When growing up, no self-respecting gentleman would go anywhere without his hat.

A handmade hat? Now, THAT would be an indulgence.

Love it. Not only quoting Beckett, but still creating hand made hats. Wonderful.

I would love to see her practice her art. I'm really not a hat person but I do admire them on other people.

It seems like a perfect quote for a hat shop!

The quote may not have been meant for Che, but it does fit! Nice find. :)
