The August theme for the City Daily Photo Blogs is "Take Away Store" and probably one of the most popular foods for take-out in Toronto is Churrasco chicken. This is chicken that is prepared in the Portuguese fashion where it is roasted and then covered with hot red chili sauce usually with rice and small roasted potatoes and a salad on the side. There are many places all over the city to get this chicken and Churrasco of St Clair is one of the most popular although everyone seems to have their own favourite!

That sounds good!
"Don't be a chicken. TRY us!"
Gosh that sounds so good Pat, love Portuguese spices.. and you doesn't love little roast potatoes :)
Red hot chili sauce? Yikes! I'll take the roasted chicken sans the sauce. It certainly is a colorful place. Are you a frequent customer?
Oh boy, I wish they had a place like this here. It sounds wonderful. I'd love to give it a try.
I'd go for the ribs. "Easy on the chili sauce please."
oh, my, that made me hungry!
A fine shot of this popular place. I'd have to have one reduced in the amount of chili sauce.
HOT red chili sauce? Uhm, no thanks. Just the thought of it makes me break out into sweats. :-)
Yes please! I like the look of the place too!
That's a very eye catching place!
I've heard of this, but have never tried it. As I get older, I find anything red-hot to be eye-wateringly indigestible. More's the pity.
Hmmm, you've got me curious. There's no Portuguese take-out in these parts.
I hve heard of it as well... not sure what I'd think. Too spicy doesn't quite agree with me.
I can't say that this is food that I know, but I would give it a try. Great looking shop.
Very nice theme day shot.
What a nice alternative to so many of the other fast food places shown on theme day. This looks really good.
My mouth is watering. ;))
