Red Volvo

I spotted this old Volvo 544 in a local parking lot a while ago and was surprised at how good a condition it was in considering how old it must be. They were made from 1947 to 1966 but I don't know the year of this one. Very cool red ride though!

I guess this old Volvo must have had a loving owner. A real Volvo enthusiast.

We had two of these, a 1958 and a 1960. They were both red. They were OK, but even in a Minnesota summer they overheated. The 1960 we had in Phoenix and that was a disaster...it ran way hot all the time! This looks like an model older than 1958, but that was a long time ago, and my memory ain't so good.

Gosh, I don't think I've ever seen one like this! Cool!

This isn't really one the cool models we see around now: it is really ugly, but I quite like it anyway...

Oh - isn't that a peach! I used to have a Volvo C70 soft-top, which looked quite pretty, but it didn't have the classic look of those old ones.

Probably in better condition than my late model car. :-)

Precious jewel, Pat ;)

An additional comment: these looked very similar to the 1946 Ford coupe.

They are very cool these cars. I have been inside one of these on a few occasions back in the late 70's.
