A Golden Couple

I haven't seen as many birds around town this summer - perhaps they are spending time in the ravines and woods to escape the heat. I did spot this Goldfinch couple a few weeks ago as they had a bit of brunch.

We have a small flock of goldfinches in our back yard, and I never get tired of seeing them. They are beautiful to watch and seldom sit still.

It's such a treat to see these birds. I love the flash of color from the males.

Nice. The second goldfinch was well enough camouflaged that I had to look three or four times before I saw it.
