"Communications"

This sculpture, Communications, by artist Hayden Davies was commissioned by Bell Canada and is found at Bell Trinity Square on Bay St. I quite like it but have to admit I would have preferred a brighter colour, maybe red?

...help me, what is it saying?

Red would have been fabulous against that background Pat, but perhaps too bright for the position 😀

Hello, It is a nice sculpture. I think a brighter color would attract more attention. Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

Sometimes you wonder about a name

I guess an artist can name their work whatever they think it is, but it really does not communicate much to me. Perhaps more color would help. I am thinking different shades of one color on each bar. Blue would be my choice.
Thanks for sharing, it gives us something interesting to think about
Have a wonderful day!

I have to agree with you. A brighter color would make it pop! Interesting sculpture.

Yes... RED for sure.

It would click a bit more. I remember seeing this one the last time I was out there.

Not sure I am smart enough to understand this abstract work. Perhaps one could get kicked through the goal posts of life? Yes, red would work.

As Tom said, what is it saying. I vote red for this piece too, at least people would see it and ask questions, maybe. :)

I kind of like it, too, and I am OK with the color. Do you get why it is called Communication?

A brighter color would be nice for this. I wonder if whoever commissioned it wanted it to be more understated, like the colors around it. "Communications?" It kind of looks to be a representation of how people in the U.S. are communicating these days.

Claudia (above) probably has the right interpretation, but I wouldn’t necessarily have thought about communication if it weren’t by the Bell building (and if I didn’t see the name of it ). It looks industrial in that color.

Yep, red would be your color! I'm thinking a rainbow of colors!
