Lake View

Turning right around from yesterday's pic and taking a few steps to side to look through the trees gives you this view over the beach at Ward's Island and out over Lake Ontario. If we had eagle eyes we could see Niagara Falls on the other side. On a clear day when you are at the Falls you can see the Toronto skyline across the lake.

Peaceful! It seems a world removed from the turbulent Falls!
The only time we went to Niagara Falls, it was cloudy and cold there, even though it was a pleasant day in Rochester, New York, where our hotel was right on the banks of the Erie Canal. But the Falls were an awesome sight, and we crossed over to see them from the Canadian side, too.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Your photo makes me want to be on a sailboat headed out on an adventure.

I sure enjoy these photos, it's almost as good as being there. A lovely resort place and what a place to call home as well! Blissful life.

I didn't know you could see Toronto skyline from Niagara Falls. I would have looked for it from St. Catherine's had I known, back in 1992 :)

Happy Day to you, Pat.
Peace :)

One of my good friends in Florida has spent the summers across the lake at the Thousand Islands for decades.
