Domed

This building on Bloor St E was constructed in 1954 for the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. I really tried to find out some info about the architecture but had no luck so can't tell you what goes on under that domed roof. Perhaps it is their library. This was taken just after another of our snowstorms so you can see all of the wet marks along the facade - winter is hard on us all!

It's an interestingly shaped building. I wonder about that dome too!
Your comment on my site made me laugh. I did buy some things, just not any of the glass that I took multiple photos of. I'll try to show what I bought later this week.

The 1950's has left it's mark. The dome makes it look a bit different from other buildings built at that time.

Harder on you this winter, I think, than on us, from the look of things. :-)

The building is a beauty with lots of character.

The top floor is their game room where they have competitive races running calculations on old 10-key adding machines. (Or not. Could be a cool board room.)

What an interesting piece of architecture Pat, it does have the look of a library about it.. I can't imagine a CPA library being exciting somehow πŸ˜€ Hold on spring has to come soon 🌷🌼🌺🌸

Interesting mystery to unravel, and the design is quite stunning, I like it a lot.
