Lilac Time

We got some very warm weather last week which encouraged all of the lilac bushes to break out their displays. Hopefully they don't disappear quickly in the heat. This little bush was right beside a Redbud tree for an added bit of colour.

I do enjoy lilac blooming season. It announces the beginning of summer, and they smell heavenly.

Oh wow, I LOVE lilacs and that is one plant that doesn't grow here in the valley. I would have to drive up to my sister's place in Prescott Valley to see any. Growing up in Illinois we had a lilac bush in our yard and I loved those blooms and their fabulous scent.

...we just returned from a visit to a local park. There are still a few lilacs and redbud flowering, but they will be finished soon.

They are always welcome to see.

In regards to your comment, two other theme days were also designated at CDP. July is Tools and August is Sticky.
