Annex Homes

When the leaves are off the trees in winter that is the best time to look at the style of homes in the Annex neighbourhood. The facade of these 2 semi-detached houses is quite unusual for the neighbourhood. The one on the right looks fairly original while the left side has done a larger window on the 2nd floor but otherwise the whole building looks great.

Oh, Ontario brick houses -- so iconic!

That larger window really stands out when you look at the whole building. Lovely red brick.

Sad about the large window, RedPat!

This is a great looking brick house, but too bad about the remuddled large window that does not fit the original style of the building.

It finally occurs to me why The Annex is called The Annex. What was it annexed from and exactly where is?
