Going Uphill at Christie Pits!

The one thing about tobogganing that you forget is that the 10 second ride downhill results in several minutes of struggling back to the top. I watched these 3 young girls on the right, slip and slide their way up one of the hills at Christie Pits Park for about 5 minutes, giggling all the way. As they neared the very top the girl in red grabbed onto that little tree for dear life. It was almost more fun watching the uphill adventures than the downhill but not as exciting for the kids!

Kids don't mind the low temperatures and can have so much fun with simple things!
Have a good weekend!

I wonder how many kids think about how the trek up the hill takes so much longer than the ride down. If they do they must figure the thrill is worth it. :) Kids have so much energy! :)

Kids being kids. They don't seem to get as many chances as I did when I was a kid.

We still need to take our kids sledding....

Jack --It was neat that almost all the kids were there with their friends and not their parents - like the old days! The sidewalks throughout the neighbourhood had a constant stream of kids heading to the park.

Great image! That's one of the best sled hills in the city. My kids were out in it and had a blast.

What a cute shot! No better way to spend the day, just out with friends.

It's been a long time since I was kid but your photo jogged my memory. It made me remember that on the way back up we always talked about how much fun it was going down. Nice fun filled photo for today's posting. Keep on clicking.
