Before The Frost

I took this pic last Sunday and it shows the flowers and foliage along the centre boulevard of University Ave with the trees surrounding the Ontario Courthouse in the background. It's hard to believe that this is right in the centre of downtown surrounded by office and government buildings and has 3 lanes of traffic on each side of it. Our weather forecast for tonight is for 1˚C so I fear that many of these plants will be nipped by a bit of frost by tomorrow. Sad!

But what a lovely last gasp for the plantings! I love that someone takes such great care of your public spaces.

I was driving down here last night - but sadly it was dark. I have been amazed at the size of the flowers in these sidewalk planters, especially with the summer we had.

I was on one of my rare visit to downtown Toronto today on University. It didn't look a bit like this. You found a gem.

It's sad for sure! If you are getting a frost then I know we'll have our killing frost tonight. I'm not ready for this...

This is a nice planting. We need to enjoy plantings like this for as long as we can!

Utterly gorgeous! Frost? Already? Yikes. We've had some fog. Got down to about 60 degrees one morning. Almost had to wear a jacket. If you miss this kind of thing around Christmas time, come visit Ocala. OK?

Love the yellow on the one tree, makes such a striking focal point. So delightful considering your description of the space.
