Green

I was at James Gardens on a very sunny cool day and the angle of the winter sun was really reflecting nicely off the heads of the male Mallards so of course I shot a whole load of pics to try to get some great green showing. But of course they don't stay still for long so I had a lot of duds. I like this one and also I like seeing his little foot below the water.

I know that feeling when the ducks do not want to stay still for just one picture.

Their heads are an absolutely wonderful colour and you've captured the tone and iridescence perfectly.

A Mandarin Duck came flying in to Stockholm earier in the week. Not something that happens very often, so the bird watchers, soon gathered nearby.

Such a common and yet fabulous duck. :-)

The green is remarkable. In a world full of feathered creatures it stands out as silky with a brilliant sheen.

I used to see mallards all the time in New England, and I know they are also found in Florida, but I rarely see the males here.
