Victorian Yorkville

This Gothic Revival home in the Yorkville neighbourhood was built in 1878 for George Lee who was the village registrar for Yorkville before it became part of Toronto. The house looks as if it had just walked out of the Victorian age with all its original details so lovingly maintained and with that fine fence.

I have always liked this architectural style. Your photo must have been taken in early spring as there is still snow on the ground. The front garden could use some attention, but that way wait for warmer weather.

Needs a good ghost story to go along with it. :-)

A rather spooky-looking dwelling - the sort of place that children run past as quickly as they can!

Looking also a bit like a house for the Addams family.
