Afternoon At The Park

The geese are all gathering probably getting ready for a nice trip down south for the winter. This was the view at James Gardens a couple of weeks ago as they fattened up on grass. You really have to watch where you walk to avoid getting really messy shoes.

Taking part in Saturday's Critters. Click HERE to see more creatures from around the world.

Nice birds, but they make quite a mess.

This is why I stick to the pavement in such geese prone areas.

Some of them have arrived down here already. I saw the first flock fly by my window yesterday. Of course, I heard them before I saw them. They are noisy when they are flying.

Canada geese do love a well tended lawn. Yes, it is about time for them to head south for their winter vacation.

Ahhh yes, the mess they make. But I still love them and love watching their families across the road.

I grew up under the eastern flyway. Canada Geese feel fundamental to who I am. Thank you so much for sharing these
