Faculty Of Law

This is Flavelle House which is the heart of the law faculty at U of Toronto. The house was built in 1902 as a private home for Joseph Flavelle and his family and when he died in 1939 he left the house to the university which had been growing up around it. Over the years there have been numerous large additions to the rear of the building although the house itself has heritage protection.

The Greek Revival style is perfect for a law college. Fine photo.

What a grand looking house and now a grand looking building. It's well deserving of preservation.
