Asleep On One Foot

When I took yesterday's shot I was heading to James Gardens to catch the ducks with autumn colours around them. When I got there the ducks had flown off somewhere so I am showing this shot taken a few weeks ago. The ducks were all sleeping many of them sleeping while standing on one foot.

Taking part in Saturday's Critters. Click HERE to see more creatures from around the world.

They do have that habit.

One leg to stand on and the other leg tucked in the feathers to keep warm?

That is something we humans can't do.

Haha ... it's lucky ducks that can rest that way!

That really is a beautiful photo. And it's so funny to see them on one foot, perfectly comfortable!

I've always said so many critters sleep or rest in such odd or silly poses!

Amazing, huh. They do not trip over.
The bridge reminds me of my PIL, they have such a mini-version. 3-4 years we didn´t meet (not my fault).
