A Pioneer

This was one of the first laneway houses that I saw in the city, probably about 10 years ago. I happened to see a real estate listing for it and went to the open house. It was done well but was quite small inside. I took this pic several weeks ago when I went by and was pleased to see it still looking so good.

This house looks like it was made from shipping containers. Most creative, and it well done. I'm sure the interior is small, but well organized,.

They have taken full advantage of the tiny space they have. It does look very nice.

Lane houses are fascinating. As far as I can guess, they are found only in TO.

The top looks like a container house, they are becoming popular here.

Thank you for showing us. After living on a boat for 20 years, I am not interested in small living anymore, LOL. Aloha to you, Pat

It's always fascinating to see how places evolve over time! Your experience with one of the first laneways houses you saw in the city is a great example of this. It must have been quite interesting to attend the open house and see the inside, even if it was smaller than expected.
