I always admire this oriel window found on the side of a house in the Annex neighbourhood. It is hard to see because of the reflections but there is a lovely vase of flowers sitting inside it.
Pat, thank you for extending my vocabulary. I didn't know these second story windows were called oriel, a Latin origin word. The one in your photo is fine looking with real craftsmanship.
What a charming detail! Oriel windows always add such character to a building. It’s lovely that you’ve noticed the vase of flowers inside—it must brighten up the space. Even with the reflections, it sounds like a small, hidden gem in the neighbourhood!

It is admirable
It is lovely. Seems to let light in without permitting outsiders to see inside.
