Protecting Your Ride

I have heard of these wheel locks but had never seen them in use before passing by this vehicle the other day. There have been a lot of vehicles stolen in this city and this is one way to stop the thieves.

I have never seen these wheel locks used before. There must be fewer stolen vehicles around here.

Here they where used by the police for wrong parked cars. At the end of the day after paying the fine they unlocked your car.

wow, that's a serious protection system.

How sad is this.

They only look useful if you're leaving the car for a good length of time - otherwise rather fiddly I think.

It's a deterrent, no doubt if thief wants the car they will find a way to steal it. In the UK they break into peoples houses for the keys to High end cars or use a clone key

I've seen them used for people parking in the wrong place and their meters have expired. They were know as "the boot".

With even high end cars having their electronic systems cracked, the police advice here now is to use the old fashioned steering lock.

I have seen these used by the police, but not as a theft deterrent!

Hello,
I have only seen the wheel locks that the police use, people can not move their vehicles until all their tickets are paid in full.
Have a great weekend.
