It was the 1958 Impala up above this cafe in Merida Mexico that caught my attention. That was the first year that the Impala was built and I don't think I have ever seen one before. This was a morning pic but by evening this place was packed and the sign was highlighted with neon.

RedPat, that is a wonderful sign. I remember these cars, but was not really attracted to them. The cafe would attract me as I love old stuff.
...the '58 Impala is an expensive car to be sitting up there.
I have photographed 3, 1958 Impala cars at different meets. A true classic.
That looks like a great meet-up place. I love the Impala. It would have been interesting to see how it got up there.

I remember them having 4 doors, not only 2. They were a success among my friends, but I don't think I ever saw a 1958 model
