I am going back to Mexico for my posts for the next few days. While in Merida, we travelled to see the Mayan ruins at Uxmal. This the first sight you have of the ruins when you enter and it is called the Pyramid Of The Magician. You can see the scale of it if you look at the people on the lower right. It was awe-inspiring. One interesting thing was that if you stood on the lawn and clapped your hands it would echo back at you.

These are impressive structures, but they often hold a dark history.

Impressive is a good word here. Nice photo, also.

Very impressive indeed.
That sounds incredible—Uxmal’s Pyramid of the Magician must be a breathtaking sight in person! The echo effect adds such a fascinating, almost mystical touch to an already awe-inspiring experience.
