Sweet Pup

This is one of several sculptures by artist Stephen Cruise that are on tall posts running along beside the streetcar right of way along Spadina Ave south of Bloor St. I have always liked this one and have enjoyed watching the patina develop over the years. I'll show you its location tomorrow.

Taking part in Saturday's Critters. Click HERE to see more creatures from around the world.

I also like this sculpture as it reminds me of the Cocker Spaniel my family had when I was a kid. Dad's army buddies gave him the dog when he got out of the Army, and they named the dog Major, so he would have a Major to boss around.

Spadina. I wonder when I was last there. Decades ago, but how many?

What a great sculpture. It looks so realistic, like he's just waiting for a pat on the head.

I’ve always loved how public art like this becomes part of the landscape over time—looking forward to seeing where it’s placed!

Hello Red :)
It is a very nice sculpture of what I perceive as a spaniel, and it's gained a lovely colour over time.
All the best
