This wall leads into a railway underpass and this mural which is a homage to all the pigeons that live there extends through to the other side and out about the same length as what you see here. It is impossible to get the whole thing in one pic while dodging the traffic along a busy Davenport Rd. The mural was painted in 2006 by a community group and has survived the elements quite well.

Art and colour can transform any area in a much nicer place. ;-)
Nice mural against the industrial backdrop... for such a dirty bird.
So good! Beautiful and creative.
Timing a shot while dodging traffic is always great fun.
that's cute to call attention to them! :)
I don't think I've ever heard of anyone paying homage to pigeons before.
Gosh what a shot Pat... Amazing to think the mural goes all the way through and out the other side.. The power pylons in the background add a whole other dimension to the image..
I'd say it has survived VERY well, probably better than the bridge itself.
That is just plain A Cool! the movement with the electric lines, the color, the whole thing is wonderful
Wonder what the pigeons think of it??
a homage to pigeons - they get a bad press here so I can't see anyone doing that over here.
I like the blue!
But please, pretty please do NOT get me started on pigeons. I spend way too much time EVERY weekend cleaning up their mess on my windowsills and balcony and moaning about flowers they destroy...
I don't like pigeons, but this is a nice mural. :)
Mural painting at the under passes seems to become more and more popular. I just started following a graffiti blog about T.O. Thought you might find it interesting.

Love the jumble of pigeons and hydro lines.
This mural definitely softens the industrial landscape. Paying homage to pigeons is a new concept to me. I guess that also means no eating them, right? Thanks, Pat, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
It's quite eyecatching.
Quite an unusual mural in an industrial setting. Glad it has survived without graffiti or deterioration.
That's a very busy looking scene, lots going on!
Pigeons are the reason why I can't have birdfeeders... Grrrr! Nevertheless it's great to see a homage to these "flying rats"! :-)
Hmmm. I can't say pigeons are MY favourite birds. :))
The mural adds so much color to the area. Lovely!
For eight years still going strong!!
Makes for a great photo!
