Share A Book
I was out for a walk in the Casa Loma neighbourhhood and happened upon a Little Free Library box. I had heard of them but this is the first one I have seen so I immediately crossed the road and there in the middle of the row of books was Sue Grafton's "W Is For Wasted"! Needless to say, I brought it home and am now half-way through. I love the idea of these little libraries - click here to read more about them.

This is marvellous. I don't think it would stay stocked here.
Great idea. I have left a few books on park benches for everyone to take home.
Seen these a lot. Good idea and FUN!
I'm enjoying your ongoing pix of TO. We lived there for 3 years 40 years ago and loved it, though I hate the traffic to get there now. This free library is neat! We lived on Castle View Ave. for one of those years, a beautiful neighbourhood.
i think they are such a cute idea.
I've heard of these before but never seen one either. Such a great idea. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one here.
Great idea!
That's cool. I haven't seen any here yet.
What a neat concept. I've never seen one before. The closest thing to that I've ever seen is a shelf of books in campgrounds, usually in the laundry room.
Great idea. I haven't seen them here in the Netherlands yet.
Sounds revolutionary--free books. :-)
Great aren't they? Old red phone boxes are sometimes used for the same purpose over here.
I have seen them here and there. This one's neat.
Splendid idea! I'd like to think of my little Hawaii novel "Aloha Where You Like Go" in such a book reliquary waiting for the next reader

These are so wonderful.
I have be looking for these book stands around here but your luck beat me to it.
We have them here. I have been thinking of building one for the corner street.
It's a great idea!!!
There is something like this near our new apartment. It's more like a phone booth though and the books are all German. :(
I came across these little free libraries a few weeks ago and clicked on their website. I randomly clicked on one in Iowa and discovered it was someone I know. It is a small world. What a great idea these are.
I would definitely use one if it were in my neighbourhood. I'd share as well as take.
There is one very close to where I live, I took a photo but the light was not very good, need to go back there!
This is a cute box! ;-)
There is one not far from me, and I have shown it once or twice before. The little free library movement is a wonderful one! (I only give away books, never take any . . . )
Great idea!
Loved the video and really love this idea Pat, nice to see everyone treating it with respect.
The only one I know in Lisbon is on a phone booth.
what a great idea. Bravo for posting this!
