February Theme: Power

The February theme for the City Daily Photo Blog community is Power and I chose this shot of these power lines that run for miles through the middle of the city.  They run right along side of railway tracks in this area and the towers are frequent hunting look-out spots for hawks who watch for prey along the tracks.

Taking part in the theme Power. Click HERE to see more shots of power from around the world.

A good selection.

I have a photography friend that works as a crane operator and most of his photos are work related. Last year he was part of a project replacing old power poles with new ones that are crazy huge, so seeing your photo reminds me to go and check out those new poles.

Interesting the hawks find these towers useful for hunting. Hope our power grid remains safe and secure.

Perfect! We were certainly on the same "current" today.

Awesome electric poles. Has the price of electricity gone up there?

Perfect for the theme. Electricity prices have skyrocketed this winter here.

We have them in the earth. Safer. I always get goosebumps when I read those lines get destroyed by weather and leave you without electricity.
On the other hand...
It looks arty, beautiful.
